Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost?

Depends on the website. We don’t build cheap websites, because we care about quality and we value our work. But we don’t sell over expensive sites either. Plus we sometimes take on low budget projects if they inspire us to build something beautiful. You can easily get an estimate for your website project by sending us some details about it here.

Do you offer hosting?

There is a difference between web hosting, domain hosting and email hosting. We are currently offering only fully dedicated managed web hosting, one of the best out there in terms of quality and affordability. For domain hosting you will need to use the services of a domain provider, like Namecheap, GoDaddy or a local one. Same for email hosting, where Gmail/Google Workspace offers one of the best services, and there are of course other options. Send us a message with more details about your needs and we can help you make the right choice for both domain and email hosting.

Do I need a cookie banner?

If your website collects any personal data with tools such as Google Analytics and others, then yes. And not just a cookie banner, that says your website has cookies. GDPR and e-Privacy Directive demand to get user consent before activating any not strictly necessary cookies. You can read more about cookies in our blog post “All you need to know about cookies, and why”

Why WordPress?

WordPress is the most popular, user-friendly and secure content management system worldwide (used by 40% of all websites, with 64.3% market share ). It allows us to build relatively inexpensive websites quickly, and makes it easy for you to work with the website content. Like everything, it has some downsides too. It’s heavy, requires sufficient server resources and setup and needs to be properly configured in order to be safe. But it’s the perfect middle ground between all services like Wix and Squarespace on one hand, which have less features and are not as nearly as flexible, and on the other hand – custom build websites, which take a lot more time to build and cost much more.

What's a domain?

Domain is a unique name that Internet users enter in the browser URL bar to access a website. If your website is like your home online, the domain would be the home address. It can be the name of your organisation, your own name or any other combination of letters or numbers (up to 68 characters, the shorter, the better).

Choosing the right domain for your website is important for brand awareness, search engine positioning and creditability, so better give it some proper thought.

What is SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimisation. This process is aimed to improve your website’s ranking from search engines among other websites with similar content. SEO is a great way to increase your website traffic organically, meaning without paying for ads or other marketing tools. But it's not a one-time fix, rather than an ongoing process and persistent work. You can either hire a professional to do it for you, or study it and do it yourself. Google has all kinds of free resources and tutorials, we encourage you give it a try.
